Terms and Conditions

These terms are a contract between you and Double Carpet Analytics ("we", "us"). By creating an account, accepting these terms, or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Who we are

Double Carpet Analytics is a horse racing data and analytics service operating in England. You can reach us at help@doublecarpet.com.

2. What the service is

We publish statistics, ratings, form analysis, modelled estimates and opinion about horse racing. Everything on the site is information and opinion for you to consider. It is not advice, and it is not a recommendation to place any bet.

3. What the service is NOT

This clause matters more than any other, and we ask you to read it.

• We do not accept, place, broker, pool or settle bets.
• We do not hold, handle or transmit customer money.
• We do not place bets on your behalf, for payment, commission or

otherwise, and we will not do so if asked.

• We are not a bookmaker, a betting exchange or a betting

intermediary, and we are not licensed by the Gambling Commission because the activities above are the ones that require a licence.

Every bet you place is placed by you, with a third party of your choosing, on your own account and at your own risk.

4. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over to use this site. By using it you confirm that you are. We may ask for proof and may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.

The site is intended for use in the United Kingdom. If you use it elsewhere, you are responsible for whether doing so is lawful where you are.

5. Your account

Accounts are personal to you. You must not share your login with anyone, and you are responsible for everything done through your account.

You agree to give accurate registration details, keep your password secret, use a password you do not use anywhere else, and tell us promptly at help@doublecarpet.com if you think someone else has access.

6. This is a closed test

The site is currently provided to a small number of invited testers, free of charge, while it is being built.

That means it may be incomplete, wrong, interrupted or withdrawn without notice; features may change or disappear; and data may be reset or deleted. Do not rely on it. We give no undertaking that it will be available, accurate or continuous.

7. No guarantee of accuracy, and none of profit

We take care with our data, but we do not warrant that anything on the site is accurate, complete or current. In particular:

• Racing data, prices and results come from third-party suppliers and

may be wrong, delayed, missing or subsequently corrected.

• Ratings, projections and probabilities are modelled estimates. They

are opinions produced by software, not statements of fact.

• Any record of past performance shown on the site is **historical and

is not a guide to future results.**

• We do not promise that following anything on this site will produce a

profit. It may lose you money.

8. Your betting decisions are yours

You alone decide whether to bet, what to bet on, how much to stake and with whom. You do so using your own judgement.

We accept no liability whatsoever for any bet you place, for any money you lose, or for any consequence of your gambling — including where you placed the bet after reading something on this site, and including where what you read turns out to have been wrong.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Those exclusions are void by law and we do not attempt them.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of

profit, revenue, opportunity, anticipated winnings or goodwill, or for any gambling losses of any kind.

• We are not liable for loss arising from **errors, omissions, delays,

interruptions, downtime or data loss**, whether ours or a supplier's.

• We are not liable for anything caused by matters outside our reasonable

control.

• Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited in total to **the

greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and (b) £100.** During the free test period, (a) is nil.

This clause does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Third parties

The site shows data and odds from third parties and may link to bookmakers or other websites. We do not control them, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, terms or conduct. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

11. Our content

All content on the site — including data compilations, ratings, software, text and design — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and database right.

You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, scrape, republish, resell, or use it to build a competing product, and you may not use automated means to extract data from the site.

12. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these terms or the Acceptable Use policy, if we suspect misuse, or because the test is ending.

You may close your account whenever you like by emailing help@doublecarpet.com.

13. Changes

We may change these terms. If we change them materially we will publish a new version and ask you to accept it next time you log in. The version you accepted, and when, is recorded against your account.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own courts.

15. General

If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. This is the whole agreement between us about the site.
